Sven H. Lingren

Architect; JHKM employee

Little is currently known about Sven H. Lingren, who was employed in the office of Honeyman, Keppie & Mackintosh probably as an architectural assistant, or draughtsman, from before July 1903 until 31 March 1905. 1 'Lingren', and its variants such as 'Lindgren' are common Scandinavian surnames, but Sven H. Lingren was probably Swedish. He attended the Glasgow School of Art during the academic session 1901–2, giving his address as '2 India Street', in central Glasgow. This was the home of Victor Lindeberg, a 'masseur and medical gymnast' (physical therapist), and his wife, both of whom were Swedish citizens. 2 Lingren does not appear in the 1911 Census, suggesting he may have left Glasgow by this date.
