Honeyman, Keppie & Mackintosh designed a fireplace for the 'parlour' of the large Paisley house of Thomas Rowat and his wife Margaret, uncle and aunt of Jessie Newbery nee Rowat. No drawings for the fireplace survive and no details of its design are known. 1

Authorship: The evidence for Mackintosh's involvement in this work is the job-book entry, which is written entirely in his hand, and the related work he carried out for other members of the Rowat family: for the Rowats' son Robert James Rowat, and his wife Jenny, at 14 Kingsborough Gardens, Glasgow; for their daughter Isabella Wylie Hill at 3 Lilybank Gardens, Glasgow; and for their niece, Edith, at Prospect Hill House, Paisley
