John Honeyman & Keppie made preparatory sketches for a commemorative monument. These sketches have not been traced. It is not clear whether Alex Muir & Sons were the clients and/or the masons making the monument. It is not known who the 'Anderson' named in the job-book entry was. No payments for the work appear in the job books or practice cash book, suggesting the work was not carried out.
Authorship: This is one of over 270 jobs carried out in the office of Honeyman & Keppie (Honeyman, Keppie & Mackintosh from 1901) during Mackintosh's time there. Mackintosh undoubtedly worked on many of these, but there is no specific evidence for his involvement in this case.
