SEPT. 1891.'; inscr. t.r.: 'We hereby bind to oblige the petitioners / 1st, To bridle all the joistings at fireplaces, the joist cuts which / the bridle is dovetailed to be not less than 3 inches thick & equal / at least in depth to the other joistings to have all hearths supported upon brick / arches & to keep all timbers clear of chimneys by a space of not less than nine inches. / 2nd, on completion of Building & before occupation to furnish the Master of / Works a Report from the Sanitary Inspector for the City of Glasgow to the / effect that the drains & pipes have been smoke tested & found satisfactory./ 3rd, That no portion of the buildings will be occupied until the Masters / of Works Report is disposed of by the Dean of Guild Court. / 4th, All joistings to be in one length from main wall to main wall where / possible - other joists to be crossed. / John Honeyman & Keppie / [illegible signatures] / The ashpit accommodation is to be made to satisfy / Mr Young.
