John Honeyman & Keppie made minor, unspecified alterations for A. W. Hamilton in the village of Row, now known as Rhu. The house, Dunrowan, is named in the job-book entry recording the payment to contractor Alexander Henderson. The work may have coincided with Hamilton's acquisition of the house; in the 1891 census, taken just a few months before his commission appears in the architects' records, he was living at a house named 'Laggary', also in Row. 1

Authorship: This is one of over 270 jobs carried out in the office of John Honeyman & Keppie (Honeyman, Keppie & Mackintosh from 1901) during Mackintosh's time there. Mackintosh undoubtedly worked on many of these, but there is no specific evidence for his involvement in this case.
